Supply Chain and Purchasing Officer - Pharmaceutical Industry - Johannesburg

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and driven Supply Chain and Purchasing Officer to join a leading pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing business efficiencies through accurate and well-communicated processes, procedures, workflows, and operational systems. You will also work closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure smooth intra and inter-departmental workflows and compliance to standard operating procedures. Responsibilities RISK AND COMPLIANCE Enhance business efficiencies through streamlined processes and operational systems. Develop measures and dashboards to track progress and ensure smoother workflows. Conduct audits to measure compliance and provide feedback for improvement. Train and raise awareness of changing/improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coordinate intra and inter-departmental workflows and ensure compliance with SOPs. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Ensure timely production according to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate smooth goods flow from international shipping to final distributor. Record and track transactions related to shipping, production, and delivery. Prepare monthly demand after consolidating distributor purchasing orders. PROCUREMENT Improve cost efficiencies in line with policies, regulations, and technical definitions. Analyze spending for cost savings opportunities. Develop technical definitions for goods and services procurement. Maintain knowledge of cost benchmarks and technological developments. Review preferred supplier agreements and conduct research for best value products. Identify and justify profitable suppliers while driving down costs. Monitor supplier quality and delivery adherence. Requirements Matric Supply Chain Qualification and/or Purchasing Qualification ± 3 Years Supply Chain Great understanding of the (MRP and BOM) System SAP Computer literacy i.e. MS Office, Excel Demonstrable success in academia and/or career with emphasis on continuity, progression and level of attainment Inventory Management experience Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
