The above position has become vacant at Vredendal reporting to the Quality Manager. The overall purpose of this position will be to assist in the implementation, updating, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety (FSSC 22000) and Sustainability Systems within the Group. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Assist in the implementation, updating, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety (FSSC22000) and Sustainability systems within the Group. • Maintain the documentation system(s) critical to the Groups' Food Safety and Sustainability Systems. Activities include : • Ensure that all registers, records, and documentation relating to these systems are maintained and kept updated. • Recordkeeping and follow-up on weekly good manufacturing practices (GMP) inspections. • Perform monthly glass breakage registers. • Arrange food safety and sustainability meetings, in collaboration with the management representative and relevant teams. • Keep an updated record of all local and international related acts, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance. • Management of the Product Specification System. • Administration of the Supplier Management System concerning Food Safety; and collaboration with Health and Safety and Finance. • Administration of the Corrective and Preventative Action System. • Follow-up on corrective action implementation. • Collaborate with HR on coordinating related internal training. • Organize and assist with induction-related training. • Conduct internal and external Supplier audits. • Schedule third-party audits. Assist with preparation for customer audits to demonstrate compliance with requirements. • Assist with System(s) related customer enquiries. • Assist with the environmental monitoring program. • Conduct monthly PRP verifications. • Assist with related risk assessments. • Execute weekly and monthly water analysis. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: B Sc., B Tech, or Higher National Diploma in appropriate study field (Food technology preferred). Training in GFSI-recognized standard(s) Internal audit training (ISO 19011) At least 2-3 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills and work well in a collaborative environment Attention to detail. Own reliable transport and a valid Driver's License is required No criminal record Apply Now
