Our client, a global group of companies in the automotive manufacturing industry, is looking for a Systems & Network Administrator to ensure their Company’s IT requirements are established, implemented, and maintained. The IT administrator is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of client computer systems, servers, and data security systems. Main responsibilities: Maintain IT Infrastructure and Systems: Review computer systems to ensure that all aspects are operating efficiently. Troubleshoot problems, configure hardware and software Implement backup processes and assess systems for upgrades or replacement. Sourcing IT service providers and managing IT services provided. Provide IT support to users as required, using the ManageEngine Ticket system Set up user accounts in Syteline, Simba, Windows AD and Office365 Set up and maintain shopfloor smartphones, managing lockers and phones with ManageEngine MDM Setup workstations Upgrade systems with new releases and models Build an internal wiki/database/document with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies Maintain and manage virtual server infrastructure. Maintain and manage Windows Server critical services (DHCP, DNS and other critical services) Manage Network Security Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls Assess security programs, follow corporate standards ensuring security programs are installed Conduct updates, create passwords and run checks for viruses and spyware Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats Complete System Installs and Upgrades Determine IT requirements/needs for the plant and establish/implement an IT system. Conduct consistent analyses of a company’s computer systems to determine if existing components meet the company’s needs and perform upgrades or updates as needed. Determining and implementing document and records control process requirements for IT/measurement activities. Assist with preparation for external audits and customer audits to demonstrate compliance with measurement / IT requirements. Interpreting customer measurement requirements and planning for measurements to support project plans. Oversee Data Storage and Retrieval Systems Utilize effective backup systems and have in place data retrieval processes in the event of emergencies. Create and manage the use of backup and retrieval systems. Supervise the preparation of dimensional samples for customer fitment as per request. Analysis and Reporting of IT Performance Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Monitor systems using PRTG Set up new IT infrastructure to be monitored Education/ qualifications: Matric Relevant IT hardware/software certifications/training Experience (type): Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role (in an Automotive 1s tier manufacturing environment) Technical/professional knowledge and skills: Knowledge: Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Advantageous Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant Automotive Industry Customer measurement requirements would be Understanding mild steel manufacturing processes Knowledge of Quality Management processes and practices Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 Personal skills/attributes: Process management Take initiative Ethics and values, integrity, and trustworthy Customer orientation Work-life balance Building effective teams, people development, relationship initiative Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong reporting and statistical skills Solid analytical and problem-solving Work Environment: Plant environment Apply Now
