Our client in the Renewables Energy industry is currently looking for an Inverter and Battery Systems Specialist , in Johannesburg and/or Cape Town Collaborate with the System and Product Manager to define system requirements and specifications for inverter and battery integration in our solar systems. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of various inverter and battery technologies, identifying the most suitable options for different customer needs. Create a test bench, and lead the testing, configuration, and optimization of inverter and battery systems to ensure their reliable and efficient operation. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and guidelines for inverter and battery installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the System and Product Manager to design and implement robust local and remote communication solutions for monitoring and controlling inverter and battery systems. Provide technical support to internal teams, including sales, installation, and customer support, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries and issues related to inverter and battery systems. Conduct training sessions for internal staff and external partners to enhance their understanding of inverter and battery technologies, applications, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, software development, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of inverter and battery systems within our solar solutions. Monitor and analyse system performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments or enhancements. Stay updated with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications related to inverter and battery systems, ensuring compliance in all installations and operations. Support the System and Product Manager in evaluating and selecting suppliers and partners for inverter and battery systems, considering quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes through the identification and implementation of innovative ideas and solutions. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, Advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience in the design, installation, and operation of inverter and battery systems in the solar industry or related field. Deep knowledge of inverter and battery technologies, including their functionality, performance characteristics, and communication protocols. Experience with the selection, configuration, and optimization of inverter and battery systems for different solar applications. Strong understanding of local and remote communication protocols and systems used in monitoring and controlling inverter and battery systems. Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications related to inverter and battery systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues related to inverter and battery systems. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry advancements. Experience in providing technical training and support to internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and sustainability principles is a plus.
