My client, a giant in the Banking Sector, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Tax department as a Tax Manager.In this role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and implementing tax strategies, policies, and governance frameworks across the organization. Working closely with the Group Company Secretary and Head of Tax, you'll play a vital role in managing transactions, ensuring compliance with legislation, and driving tax initiatives to create shareholder value. Responsibilities include: Managing, coordinating, and reviewing transactions for compliance. Partnering with business units to execute tax strategies effectively. Proactively engaging with stakeholders to identify opportunities and manage tax risks. Supporting tax compliance agendas across subsidiaries. Contributing to the overall business strategy and operational activity of the Group. Qualifications: First degree in legal/business-related studies. Professional membership in relevant tax bodies. At least 7 years of post-qualification experience in tax, with a minimum of 5 years in professional advisory or financial institutions. Experience in handling tax audits. Broad understanding of domestic and international tax issues, particularly in Kenya. Ability to apply tax knowledge to business strategy. Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
