- Interpret South African tax laws and minimize tax liabilities.
- Advise on VAT, Income Tax, and Case Law interpretations.
- Implement strategies to reduce tax risks.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and provide advice.
- Provide professional tax advice.
- Develop corporate tax policies.
- Coordinate tax reporting and compliance.
- Review tax calculations and reports.
- Prepare compliance documents and respond to tax queries.
- Manage relationships with tax service providers.
- Implement tax reporting systems and ensure compliance.
- Analyze tax implications of transactions and products.
- Advise on tax aspects of projects.
- Develop strategies for tax collection projects.
- Reclaim foreign withholding taxes.
- Stay updated on tax legislation.
- Handle ad hoc tax-related requirements
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Qualified CA(SA) is preferred
- Honours or Mcom in Taxation is preferred
- Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is essential
- 3 to 5 years tax experience is essential
- International tax experience is essential
