About the role Location: Midrand Department: Taxes & Customs Mode of Employment: Fixed Position Title: Tax Support A Snapshot of Your Day Tax Support at Siemens Energy The move from manual operations to digital solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact Prepare and review tax accounting, compliance, in coordination with the Tax Team. Ensuring that tax returns are filed in accordance with the local tax requirements to the local tax authorities. Establish contact with local tax authorities and collaborate with local tax advisors. Facilitate and manage the preparation and review the tax returns within the scope, timely filing of all tax forms. Cooperates with tax advisors in order to optimize tax burdens. Calculates taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations. Ensures Company tax guidelines/procedures are followed and proactively modified for updates. Supports timely and tax-optimized preparation of financial statements, in cooperation with Accounting Management, and ensures timely tax payments. Coordinates the preparation of tax returns, examines accounts. Calculates taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations by required deadlines. Participates in regular direct tax and indirect tax reviews during the preparation of external tax reporting packages. What You Bring First experience in tax compliance activities (corporate income tax returns, VAT returns, reporting…) Bachelor’s degree in Tax Initiation to SAP FI accounting systems. 0 - 2 years’ work experience in national and international tax matters (Especially Africa (South Africa, Kenya…), preferably in a multinational company - Back-ground tax in Africa. Good knowledge in local accounting rules including taxes. Gas Services Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
