Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a Team Lead Eng Information (Draughting) in the Sasolburg area. Responsible for checking draughting deliverables for compliance to relevant health and safety standards and Specifications. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of draftsmen. Coach and guide fellow team members, providing technical direction on engineering deliverables as well as quality management. Manage Internal Support teams. Maintain effective Engineering Information Governance Standards. Ensure effective design and quality control. Competency development for the draughting team. Liaise with all project stakeholders to ensure complete and compliant engineering information (Drawings). Ensure cost efficient and reliable service delivery. Provide high quality on demand reports related to Engineering Information Enablement Review drafting deliverables for compliance to health and safety standards (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, EN 13480 etc) Perform flexibility analysis as required on piping systems. Review drafting deliverables for compliance to Specifications, Engineering Bulletins and Standard drawings. Develop and optimize quality management practices in drafting environment. Capture, document and implement best practices. Develop and optimize tools and standards (own, local and international) for use in the piping drafting environment Manage interfaces between other engineering disciplines, maintenance, projects and external technical community. Capture lessons learned in specifications, works instructions and procedures. Ensure that deviation management is in place. Identify deviations from legal requirements and develop corrective actions/solutions. Ensure timely response to changes/technical queries. Recommend mechanical engineering related concessions. Manage and develop people in the team. Facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation. Ensure personal development plans are completed, implemented and tracked within applicable career path. Notify/inform of changes in resourcing needs. Be responsible for own as well as team's performance management system. Report on budget utilization, forecasting and changes. Ensure teams safety objectives and required training is completed. Provide effective and high-quality services to stakeholders. Ensure productive working relationships with all stakeholders. Demonstrate maturity through influencing, negotiating, and emotional intelligence. Operate successfully in a diverse (culture, roles, positions and levels, etc.) work environment. Maintain effective Engineering Information Governance Standards Ensure effective application of the Engineering Information Enablement processes Serve as technical expert and resource for Engineering Information Draughting Services. Continuously improve on processes, identify improvement opportunities and implement improvement solutions Ensure applications under control are managed to the benefit of the larger industry value chain Participate in Document Management strategy objectives and medium-long term activities to ensure effective document management, drawings and specifications delivery to operational Hub Leadership experience Analyse DM business processes and provide recommendations. Improve their workflow and efficiency. Make use of automated tools, systems, and technology. Evaluate customer relationships against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) during regular check sessions and best practices sessions held for the group. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the accuracy and availability of engineering information. Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across our industry. Identify and activate learning as required based on individual and collective needs. Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation Grade 12 National Diploma in Mechanical or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical: 6 years' experience in drafting National Diploma in Mechanical: 10 years' experience in drafting Certification & Professional Membership ECSA Registration (preferred) Analytics: The systematic computational analysis of data or statistics Apply Now
