This position will manage a team of approximately 12 operators and will oversee the day-to-day site/production operations. This role will work a rotating 4 on 4 off roster. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards Plan and coordinate production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management, to meet production targets and customer demands Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and product quality, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement, and achieve operational excellence Train and develop team members, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and fostering a positive and motivating work environment About You: We are looking for strong people leaders that have prior backgrounds within a manufacturing environment. You can also demonstrate: Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the food or dairy industry Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality control standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels Prior experience with SAP desirable or similar ERP system Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and practices Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required We are Fonterra Fonterra is a global nutrition company owned by 10,000 farming families in New Zealand.
