Well established, reputable debt review company situated in Durban is looking for an experienced Collections Team Leader to lead our dedicated team in maximizing collections performance. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of collections strategies, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving results. Lead and inspire a team of collections specialists to achieve and exceed collection targets. Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance collections efficiency and effectiveness. Establish and maintain a clear timeline to ensure timely collections and adherence to targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations to monitor progress and provide guidance for improvement. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to empower team members and enhance their skills. Resolve escalated collection matters promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction. Analyse collection reports and data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve collections performance. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on collections activities and performance metrics. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve collections strategies. 2 years or more experience in collections with a demonstrated track record of success. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Strong understanding of collections processes, regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets. Proficiency in collections management and Microsoft Office Suite. Certification in collections management (e.g., ACA, CCM) is a plus. Market related salary plus commission Working hours 8.00am - 16.30pm Monday - Friday Please note that only suitably qualified candidates will be contacted.
