Description Team Leader - Custody Reconciliation – Cape Town Summary of the position The successful applicant will be expected to manage a team of custody reconciliations administrators. The individual will be expected to manage the workload and deliverables of the team, assisting with issues identified in operations, monitoring the performance of the team, and ensuring that processes and controls are adequate. Collate and provide key performance metrics measuring productivity to the manager of the custody reconciliations. Outline of main duties and responsibilities The main responsibilities of the role will be: Monitor the service delivery by the team in terms of SLA and managing clients’ expectations regarding deliverables Supervising and ensuring that the required daily processes and deliverables are correctly adhered to/executed by the team Providing key performance metrics to the manager of custody reconciliation measuring individuals output. Managing the workload per individual to maximize the output per individual by balancing monthly and daily deliverables Monitoring cash and scrip reconciliations breaks and identifying trends and addressing root causes. Aligning current scrip and cash reconciliation processes as much as possible Monitor reconciliation breaks to ascertain whether processes and controls are adequate Identify training needs through and up to date skills matrix Provide or arrange training within the team Build strong relationships with external and internal clients. Skills and experience required The successful candidate will: The position will require someone with a diploma or degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in portfolio administration; Preference will be given to applicants who have Asset Management experience, and understanding of Financial Markets, a proven record of accurate data capturing together with attention to detail in a verification capacity; Strong numerical and analytical skills; Attention to detail and structured work approach; Proven leadership skills is a requirement; Able and keen to work in a team environment and mentor team members; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Confident, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure; Intermediate experience in using Excel and good knowledge of Accurate is essential; Previous team leader experience is a requirement; Reporting structure The Team Leader Custody Reconciliations will report to the Manager: Custody Reconciliations. apexgroup.com 1 Apply Now
