Job Title: Technical AccountantLocation: JohannesburgJob Type: Full-timeWe are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Accountant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, as well as experience working with technical accounting concepts and requirements.Responsibilities:Research and interpret complex accounting rules and regulations, such as GAAP and IFRS.Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting teams on technical accounting issues.Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.Stay current on new accounting standards and regulations and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance.Collaborate with auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.Assist with the implementation of new accounting software or systems.Monitor and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.Support management in making informed financial decisions based on technical analysis.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required;Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical accounting or a similar role.Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-accounting professionals.Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.If you meet the qualifications and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity as a Technical Accountant, we encourage you to apply.
