We, CARDINAL SHIP SUPPLIERS, a rapidly growing ship supply company are looking for a technical buyer with suitable experience and knowledge in the industry. Sourcing of goods and services as per specification provided by our overseas based customers. Supplier development, vetting and negotiating structured terms and conditions. Review service level agreements. Must be able to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Perform all related purchasing functions and sourcing of goods as provided by our customers. Requesting for quotations, evaluating offers, issuing purchase orders and following up with delivery. Research for the requested products, review quality, identify the most appropriate suppliers, determine availability, perform comparisons and negotiate pricing, establish delivery patterns & timelines The candidate must be able to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines as this is a very fast paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy is vital. This position will suit someone that is highly driven, embraces challenges, and a dedicated team player. A minimum of three years experience in the Technical purchasing field.
