Description PURPOSE This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function. To evaluate the Trekkopje plant status from a Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Platework (SMPP) perspective and do a cost estimate and project duration estimate to enable plant start-up as per original “issued for construction” drawings, construction plans, P&ID's and commissioning plans. KEY RESPONSABILITIES Asset/ Equipment List from a combination of installed base, , P&ID's, OEM documents and design drawings / documents Develop a Master Mechanical Equipment List (MEL). Develop a piping list indicating pipe specifications, lengths, and bends. Develop a non-driven (ND) MEL (chutes, feeders, guards, covers, structures, etc.) MEL updated with all mechanical data Piping database ND-MEL Construction completion GAP analysis Develop a GAP list of what was not installed, but required according to the original design documents. MEL updated with all mechanical data Condition Assessment Do a condition assessment on all mechanical and structural equipment on site that is either installed or stored on site Reviews maintenance/performance feedback reports and equipment repair history and recommends and implements corrective action Mechanical Condition Report (MCR) Structural Condition Report (SCR) Project Scoping and Costing Develop a SOW document for completion and readiness of all mechanical equipment required for start-up, up to mechanical completion. Develop a SOW document for completion and readiness of all structures and ND Mechanical equipment required for start-up, up to mechanical completion. Do a cost estimate on equipment required and installation cost for the complete SMPP SOW SOW for SMPP You will be required to strictly adhere to and promote safety, security guidelines, the quality policy, and environmental practices applied to your department, as well as the company's values charter. QUALIFICATIONS B. Sc (B. Eng.) degree or similar qualification in mechanical engineering. NQA Qualification: Level 7/8 Code B Driver's License. EXPERIENCE Maintenance experience in a processing plant environment: 10 years Project Management Experience: 5 years Construction management Experience (indirect): 2 years Excellent verbal and written communications skills
