Technical IFRS Specialist - Johannesburg
You will be a well versed specialist performing the following but not limited to:
Preparation of technical interpretation papers on IFRS
Presentation and debate with external auditors
Technical argument papers to Group Audit
Supporting business with technical accounting matters
Assistance on the tax calculations and interpretation across the group through engagement with specialists
Participate in tax risk management
Assist with indirect taxes reviews
Assist with external audit relationship management
Project management on ad hoc projects
Management of the AFS process
Skills & Experience:
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong work ethic, motivation, and drive
Strong financial and administration skills
Deadline driven
Strong technical IFRS skills with a track record of writing technical papers and engaging with external auditors
Qualification:
CA(SA) with minimum 8-10yrs post articles experience
Experience in a technical role
Tax and IFRS 17 experience will be an advantage. (must be willing to learn IFRS 17)
