Our client is looking for an Technical Internal Sales Rep to join their team. Meet monthly sales targets by actively promoting company products and services to new and existing customers. Source new long-term customers to expand customer base and increase sales opportunities. Develop an in-depth understanding of the products sold by company. Master the applications, features, and benefits of company main products to effectively advise customers and drive sales. Serve all counter customers efficiently and professionally, ensuring prompt assistance and a positive customer experience. Offer additional products and specials to customers after receiving their order, and suggest alternate products when the desired item is not in stock. Actively promote sales figures by sourcing new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Respond to customer inquiries promptly, providing accurate prices, quotations, and technical advice as needed. Ensure all customer queries are addressed and tasks are completed to the satisfaction of the customer. Adhere to company procedures for internal sales functions, including credit applications and account clearances. Ensure payments submitted by customers are correct and handle all administrative work accurately. Handle telephonic communication in a friendly and professional manner, providing prices, quotations, and information as requested. Respond quickly to messages received from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist management in sending out promotional literature and newsletters to the appropriate clientele. Notify management of any necessary discounting, negative feedback, or customer requests for items not yet in company product range. Proven experience in sales and customer service roles, preferably in a technical or related industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sales acumen and ability to meet targets. Proficiency in product knowledge and technical understanding. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise effectively.
