Reference: DUR002152-CW-1 DUR002152 Technical Manager- East London Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Manager to lead our Technical and Maintenance departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, extensive experience in managing technical processes, and a proven track record in maintenance and key account management. Technical Competencies & Experience: Minimum of 10 years in mechanical engineering and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of IATF16949:2016 and VDA6.3:2023 Proficiency in CAD and APIS Proficiency in CMM and ERP systems. Experience in seat manufacturing. Understanding of SABS 1430, 1564, and 1080. Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams. Ensure quality in welding processes and compliance with standards. Manage R&D projects, including costing, RFQs, design, and CAD (2D and 3D). Perform and oversee maintenance using CMM software. Document control, fault finding, and IT support.
