Our reputable Construction Client is seeking a skilled Technical External Sales Representative to join their team in Westmead, Pinetown. Purpose of the job- The External Sales Representative's primary mission is to ensure that customers have a pleasant, professional, and seamless experience with the company from the initial sales process through to the order being placed with the dispatch facility while increasing sales volumes and maintaining customer relationships. Salary : Market-Related per Month Car allowance Variable allowance Cell phone allowance Pension Fund Key Performance Areas- The Employee will be required to achieve monthly targets of concrete sales, subject to change and based on market and economic factors. These targets will be recorded and communicated to you by the Regional Manager against which you will be measured monthly. All terms and conditions are included in the Sales Target Agreement contract adherence to pricing structure guidelines Customer relationship maintenance and growth are based on several customers and tenders. Requirements : MUST have a Valid Drivers license and own vehicle Matric A relevant tertiary qualification and/or a relevant qualification in concrete technology will be an advantage. 5 years experience as a Sales Representative at a senior level. 2-3 years experience in the Construction industry ( specifically with ready-mix concrete ). Computer literate on the standard platforms ( Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, CE) Fluent in English. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Sound interpersonal skills and organizational ability. High energy levels and ability to self-motivate. Knowledge of the fundamentals of concrete (product knowledge) Ability to liaise with customers at all levels and close sales deals (negotiation & selling skills) Responsibilities : Maintaining a sound and professional relationship/image with clients. Achievement of volumes and value of sales targets for account and cash customers. Maintaining and increasing the client portfolio by identifying the needs of the total territory and area within his / her responsibility. Promotion of and pricing of products offered by the company to customers. Accurately preparing sales quotes for customers. Ability to liaise and communicate clearly with clients at all levels. Pricing of tenders with assistance from technical staff, where required. Correct allocations of zones for accurate customer pricing. Ensuring correct allocation of zones to ensure accuracy in payments to transporters. Collects and collates market intelligence as a contributing factor to strategic information and provides information to the market. Liaise with plant managers and internal sales with regard to competitor/market information according to customer requirements. Addressing and resolving customer queries and problems timeously. Sales administration: daily follow-up on quotes and tenders with both sales staff and customers / general marketplace. Assist and provide the commercial manager with information regarding the settling of sales action plans. Sales Budget: forecasting and controlling.
