ENVIRONMENT: HELP design & build a world-class, cloud-native integration platform of a reputable Retail Group seeking your technical expertise to fill the role of a Technical Specialist III/Cloud Integration Engineer. You will also ensure the engineering and delivery of innovative Integration & Middleware platforms, based on digital solutions in line with Business and IT strategies while also ensuring business systems are operating cost effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate must have a 3-year IT Diploma, experience with specific analysis, integration and development, Project Management methodology and able to prepare written reports and briefs. Your tech toolset should include Java/Python (or any modern Programming languages), AWS, Azure, S3, Lambda, AWS Glue, Kafka, Confluence, OO, SOA, ELK stack, AWS CloudWatch, IBM API Manager, REST APIs using JSON formats. DUTIES: Analysis, technical design and development aligned to team processes & requirements – Develop technical specifications from systems specifications. Design and code integration programmes of greater complexity and size from technical specifications. Maintain and support existing systems - Interpret user requirements and translate into integration design. Investigate and solve systems issues. Ensure systems documentation is kept up to date. Ensure effective operations - Implement approved changes as per change control and security process. Plan, organise and control own work effort, including regular progress feedback to own and other relevant areas. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications – 3-Year IT Diploma. Experience/Skills – Specific analysis, integration and development skills. Project Management methodology. Relevant business process context knowledge. Prepares written reports and briefs and communicates ideas clearly. Programming experience in Java or Python (or any modern Programming languages). Cloud-based technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, S3, Lambda functions, AWS Glue, etc.). Event-streams platforms – Kafka, Confluence, etc. Observability technologies such as ELK stack, AWS CloudWatch or equivalent. API management platforms – IBM API Manager, WS02, AWS API Management, etc. Must be comfortable and understand OO, SOA and API concepts. Able to develop, expose and consume REST API’s using JSON formats. Preferable - Middleware & Integration technologies: IBM Integration BusMessage Broker, IBM MQ. SOAP Web Services development using XML. Modern Data Lake concepts and technologies.
