3rd Line Technical Support Engineer (JB4577) Newlands, Cape Town (Hybrid Role) R40 000 - R45 000 CTC Duration: Permanent Our client, a leading MSP with operations in the UK and South Africa, is looking for a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team. This role involves providing comprehensive technical support remotely and onsite for clients worldwide, including the UK, SA, Europe, Asia, and the US. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience in a third-level support role and have great knowledge of cloud platforms such as M365, Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. Minimum Requirements: Certifications/Experience with Microsoft 365, HP, Fortigate, SonicWall, Dell 3-4 years of experience in 3rd Line Support Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS Proficient in Network Technology including VLAN, VPNs, Firewalls, Cyber Security, and IP routing protocols Experience in Wireless network technologies and Back-up technologies (e.g., Veeam, MSP360, LiveVault) Expertise in Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V) Strong understanding of Infrastructure Maintenance and Alerting routines Familiarity with Enterprise endpoint protection services and products Experience with Microsoft Desktop operating systems and Microsoft Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms (M365 Suite, Azure, AWS & Google Cloud) - AWS and Google Cloud preferred but not essential Good understanding of SIP/IP Telephone Systems Experience with Policies, Procedures, Training, Compliance requirements Desirable Experience: Experience with Autotask PSA and RMM Microsoft SharePoint Configuration Project Management experience Presales experience preferred but not essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide 1st to 3rd line support via email, phone, and remote support to clients across multiple regions Troubleshoot, configure, and implement various IT solutions and services at customer sites/offices Diagnose and resolve issues with Microsoft technologies (Cloud & On Premise) and assist with troubleshooting 3rd party applications/systems Collaborate with the pro-services team to resolve complex issues and assist in project rollouts Maintain documentation for all systems (hardware/software/network diagram) Provide exceptional service to customers and go the extra mile when needed Assist with technical presales, design, and project planning Please do not apply using Scanned CVs, no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.
