Job Description Understanding of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), National Qualifications Framework (NQF), Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Seta (Merseta), and learnerships. Knowledge of training program development in terms of outcomes and competencies. Experience with writing and/or maintaining documentation, such as user manuals. Experience in technical training delivery. Good working knowledge of mechanical equipment, including press equipment, tool setting, conveyors, pumps, hoists, and crane operations. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Responsibilities Develop Trim, Chassis and Final (TCF) Manufacturing Stream AMIC {CORE & SKILLS} learning material, assessment documentation and training validation assessment documents. Design specific training programmes for TCF Manufacturing, aligning with the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) of the area requirements. Organize and prepare for training delivery, including (but not limited to) new product launch, facelift programs (OPD's), special training requirements. The individual must be able to formulate appropriate training materials, such as training plans, schedules, trainer guides, learner guides, and formative and summative assessment documents. Coordinate all necessary training for Trim, Chassis, and Final Manufacturing technical personnel, including those in electrical, mechanical, and mechatronics disciplines. Coordinate robotic welding for new-generation chassis, including MIG welding, CO2 welding, and specialized body framing welding processes. Oversee the identification, assembly, and joining of chassis parts through welding processes. Coordinate artisan multi-skilling training programs with relevant workshop management. This includes covering both the practical and theoretical aspects of the relevant Team Member and Artisan training programs and referring matters to the Technical Training Workshop Supervisor. The Technical Trainer to follow all protocols for: Core & Skills Assessments Competency Facilitating Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) assessments Process Records management and input to relevant archive system Set-up meetings with the respective Trim, Chassis and Final Manufacturing area management to determine and assist the TCF Plant in developing training needs year on year. Evaluate training impact to the business and develop case impact studies. Perform administrative task and maintaining all training records. Revision of applicable CORE and Skills assessments. Coordinate NCAMA workplace rotation to cover learnership elective assessments and learning. Facilitate AMIC writing, Marking and draft skill level movement of team members. Versatility reporting of the area. Assist with the implementation of Ford Production Systems (FPS) and ensuring adherence to the system. Complete any reasonable tasks in line with technical training as instructed by training associate. Deliver task autonomously with minimum supervision. Successful delivery of all training as per the training plan within the allotted timeframe. Qualifications Must have completed a Mechatronics Learnership (NQF Level 4) plus a Trade Certificate in Electro-Mechanician . Minimum of 3 years of relevant learning and development experience in the automotive manufacturing or heavy-duty production environment would be an added advantage. Assessor qualification. Moderator qualification. Facilitation (Train-the-Trainer) qualification. Coaching experience. Mentoring experience. Knowledge of ODETDP would be an advantage.
