Description Technician required for a reputable company based in East London Experience & Qualifications Minimum, Five years' Technical experience in the industrial sector Electrical Trade Certification Minimum, two years' experience in manufacturing/ process environment. Experience with technical products and or have mechanical exposure. Matric pass Post matric Electrical/Technical Qualification (Preferable) Mechanical / process theory exposure (preferable) Valid Driver's Licence Skills Microsoft Office literate. Must be a good verbal communicator with relevant key points Self-confident while remaining composed under pressure Expressive and passionate to a committed task/project/product Ability to be able to deal EFFECTIVELY with all levels of customer interaction (from buyers to production/maintenance staff to operational managers and senior management Be able to be an effective listener to extract specifics in problems and solutions Inherent ability to develop lasting personal relationships Ability to work as part of a team and to contribute accordingly A technical aptitude albeit, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, battery. Production process or automation experience. Knowledge of the Occupation Health & Safety Act. Strong planning skills Ability to prioritise tasks/workload Be able to take control (inception to analysis) of product/process trials Ability to prepare ahead of tasks (research/analysis) Ability to be able to construct ‘mind maps' Control over administrative tasks Duties Service and Repair the full range of tools and machines across all divisions (Strapping, Fastening, Packaging, Tape, Construction and Labelling). Service and repair all variants of tools and machines (Pneumatic, Electric, Battery and manual). Fault Finding -To reference and correctly identify spares required for internal and external repairs. Complete all admin functions timeously and correctly, including Job Cards for all equipment repaired internally and externally. Report to Workshop Manager with customer comments and relevant information regarding the condition of equipment on site. Liaise with the relevant Sales Consultants regularly regarding the condition of the equipment in operation as well as opposition activity To ensure Boot Stock spares are accurate and replenished frequently Submit a stock take on boot stock as per management requirements.
