We are on the lookout for an experienced Electronics Technician to ensure that all electronic equipment and related software is maintained and conforms to standards to provide maximum availability, efficiency and reliability in the safest and most cost-effective manner so that production is maximised, and downtime is minimised. As an Electronics Technician you will be responsible for: Maintaining, programming and repairing PLC systems Maintaining, programming and repairing DCS systems Installations, programming, and repairing of VSD's and Controllers Maintaining, programming and repairing SCADA systems and HMI's Calibration of Electronic measuring equipment to ISO 9001 quality standard Knowledge and repairs of Network systems, profibus, ethernet, fibre Monitoring daily downtime and institute corrective action plans to prevent recurrences of breakdowns Fault finding and repair of Electronic systems to card and component level Implementing continuous improvement on all Electronic equipment in the mill Always maintaining a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace What are we looking for? Matric plus a Diploma in either Electronics / Electrical Engineering (N6/S4) BTECH would be an advantage Valid driver's licence 3 years AC/DC drives and PLCs experience, installation, commissioning, and programming in an industrial environment (Paper industry would be an advantage) SAP knowledge would be an advantage The ability to work under pressure while following all procedures and standards Closing Date: 29 March 2024 How to Apply?
