As a Technology Risk Specialist, you will be a trusted partner to IT risk managers and technology teams. Your role will involve providing relevant expertise and advice to independently challenge the technology risk and control environment. You will support the development and maturity of risk frameworks, policies, and processes while identifying both present and emerging risk exposures. Your responsibilities will also include facilitating maintenance to the technology risk framework, providing subject matter expertise to risk assessments, performing independent monitoring of the technology environment, reviewing technology risk events, supporting accurate risk reporting, overseeing security architecture effectiveness, and participating in governance forums.Independently challenge the technology risk and control environmentSupport the development and maturity of risk frameworks, policies, and processesIdentify risk exposure, both present and emergingFacilitate maintenance and continuous enhancement to the technology risk frameworkProvide subject matter expertise to risk and control assessmentsPerform independent monitoring of the technology environmentReview and challenge technology risk eventsSupport review and consolidation of information for accurate risk reportingAssist in overseeing the effectiveness of the group's security architecture and controlsParticipate in governance forums and committees The ideal candidate for this Technology Risk Specialist role will bring previous experience in a similar position or have an interest in moving into such a role. You will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in a financial institution or other regulated environment, with a solid understanding of IT risk management practices, frameworks and industry standards. Familiarity with modern technologies such as Cloud, APIs, and DevOps is essential, and professional certifications are an advantage.
