Our client in the Telecoms sector is looking for a Technology TowerCo Lead: Infrastructure Development . This is a contract role for 12 months. Role purpose and scope: Support creation & development of infrastructure joint venture Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV’s) across client’s markets SPV Technology Strategy, Architecture and Operating model design for the clients Tower Company which will offer both passive Tower infrastructure as well as Rural Network as a Service networks in countries that have a positive business case. Source, drive and negotiate strategic partnerships – vendors, investors, and customers. Support the Establishment of a Programme Management Office for infrastructure development. Support the resourcing of Group and in-market SPV teams (headcount resources) Alignment with Group technology strategy and supply chain processes Knowledge and Skills Proven exposure and track record of managing medium to large telecoms operations, compiling budgets, designing operating models, executing on strategic projects. Effective management of a complex and large organization of professionals providing leadership, problem solving and decision making. Deep knowledge of mobile and fixed technologies (standard and non-standard) across the Consumer and Business customer base. Scope Phase 1 markets (12 months) DRC TowerCo – Support and Coordinate to establish a blueprint Mozambique TowerCo Tanzania TowerCo Lesotho InfraCo strategy Phase 2 markets (12 months) Ethiopia, Kenya, Egypt Must have technical/professional qualifications: 12 years management experience in an ICT and / or Telecoms IT & Network environment, of which at least 5 years in a Senior Executive capacity. University Degree such as BSC in Telecom and / or IT as a minimum (preferably postgraduate) MBA or similar management qualification advantageous.
