The job description of a telesales person entails the following:

  • To have excellent communication skills.
  • To have patience and the ability to engage customers in conversation
  • To ensure polite treatment of and courtesy towards customers
  • To initiate sales with potential customers, telephonically.
  • To listen carefully to customers and their needs.
  • To answer customers questions about the products.
  • To be able to generate repeat sales.
  • To have the ability to handle rejection and any stressful situation that may occur
  • To gather and document customer information, payment methods and the nature of their purchases
  • To keep up to date on all products offered and inform customers of new products, out of stock products To meet sales quotas.
  • To enter and update customer information, accurately, in the database.
  • To take and process orders in an accurate manner.
