The Starfish Greathearts Foundation strengthens the capacities of community-based organisations to deliver sustainable, best-practice services that measurably improve the outcomes of at-risk children and adolescents in South Africa. Starfish seeks to appoint a Job Title: CEO Job Location: Johannesburg Salary: Dependent on skills and experience Start date: 1 July 2019 Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction- business development, planning and management of the organisation Generate revenue for sustainability- based on diverse sources of income (R15- 20 million turnover) Financial oversight- annual budgets, audit and reports Operations management- logistic and administrative, includes programme planning and implementation in line with donor deliverables Build strategic partnerships- include South African Government, international aid agencies, corporate, individual and civil service organisations Stakeholder management Human resources management- team comprising programme, fundraising and finance departments- x15 people, Employment Equity and Skills Development requirements Governance and regulatory compliance Strategic communication- marketing and public relations Requirements: Degree in a relevant discipline- community development, health, education, social work, early childhood development, psychology, business development At least five years’ senior management experience Financial literacy Skills and knowledge in the following an advantage: health, education, child protection; organisational development; monitoring & evaluation, HIV/ AIDS, TB Experience in fundraising and the ability to demonstrate previous fundraising success Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent networking skills Computer literate (Microsoft Suite) Fluent in English To apply Submit a CV, motivation letter and current remuneration package to [email protected] Application Deadline: Sunday, 12 May, 2019
