Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is urgently looking for Registered Nurses (RN) / Professional Nurses (PN) with proven THEATRE SCRUB experience. This is a 3-4 month contract opportunity starting as soon as possible at a private hospital in Bethlehem in the Free State. Deliver quality peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions Create a learning environment that builds staff competence Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged Valid SANC licence At least 6 months to 1 year theatre scrub experience An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles Sound knowledge and application of relevant Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures Management of surgical equipment and instruments Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols Risk Management
