The main purpose of this position: The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary team in accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit Requirements: A relevant nursing qualification (BCur Degree/ or relevant management qualification) Post Basic Theatre qualification Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Unit Manager/shift leader in the specialised areas Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations Compulsory BLS certification Advanced Computer Literacy Knowledge and experience on SAP and Kronos will be beneficial Flexible in working hours/Shifts Sound Theatre knowledge and experience Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital group and evidence-based practice Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to Implement group quality initiatives Liaise with public liability regarding all incidents of potential risk to the business Should you meet the above requirements, we urge you to please apply by forwarding your CV along with any supporting documents to tracyglass-house.co.za
