Our client, a highly reputable Global Automotive concern is currently in search of a passionate and focused Supplier Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submit and resolve complaints with component suppliers, receiving 8D reports and proposals for corrective measures from them.
- Prepares complaints for component suppliers.
- Works with internal and customer quality team to resolve customer complaints.
- Works with and manages incoming inspection team, blocks non-conforming goods, initiates product separation, and inspects isolation warehouse.
- Analyses faulty components.
- Monitors the costs of poor supplier quality, evaluates suppliers.
- Ensures replacement deliveries, communication with suppliers and liquidation of suspicious pieces.
- Organizes and prepares classification within the complaint.
- Responsible for the costs of sorting, summarizing, and transferring the incurred additional costs to the supplier.
- Responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet specific customer requirements (checks implementation of corrective actions)
- Collaborates and prepares documents in the case of customer and certification audits.
- Prepares and conducts a revalidation or VDA 6.3 audit at the supplier.
- Evaluate the quality of supplies.
- Act on behalf of the employer in negotiations with suppliers
- Audit suppliers of purchased materials.
- Suspend non-conforming or suspect products during goods receipt and storage.
- Cooperation with internal and customer quality in resolving complaints.
- Decide on the release of parts that have been suspended within the scope of delegated authority.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant Quality Management / Technical Engineering and / or related degree or diploma is essential!
- 3-5 Years stable and proven Tier 1 Supplier Quality Engineer experience gained within the automotive component or technical engineering industry is required
- Sound understanding of the motor industry and solid experience in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of and the application of Quality Tools. e.g., SPC FMEA, 8D Problem Resolution Reports, Product & Process Audits
- Experience of leading suppliers through new model launches
- Must have a understanding of: PPAP, MSA, APQP, FMEA, SPC
- Proficiency on MS Office
- Effective communication skills with suppliers, peers and shop floor, both verbal and written
- Valid drivers license and own transport
