The position requires a variety of administrative and social media responsibilities in our small but active non-profit organization. You will work closely with the Executive Committee and Program Managers and will liaise with the Media Committee to develop a larger media footprint while assisting with day-to-day administrative support. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in both administrative and social media, will have outstanding communication and organization skills and have ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES – Coordinate general office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to the organization's policies. Supervise assistant/cleaner and divide responsibilities to ensure performance. Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.). Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures. Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned. Schedule appointments for virtual and in-person meetings. Plan and coordinates logistics and prepare presentation materials for meetings, trainings, and events. Submit project invoices and payables to the financial officer, ensuring all payments and reports are completed within established time frames. Ensures filing systems are up-to-date and maintained for effective and efficient use. Liaise with committees and SAAJA members regarding various administrative duties pertaining to SAAJA's functions and activities. Administrative support and coordination of all programs. SOCIAL MEDIA DUTIES - Act as liaison between Media Committee and Program Coordinators to implement, coordinate efforts and track progress in implementing digital and marketing strategies. Coordinate social media and community management. Track and report digital/social media usage metrics. Manage social media content calendar. Update and post information on digital media including website, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms. REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE Specialized training and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated track record of success in providing executive administrative support. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, virtual meeting platforms. Proficient in using marketing on-line tools (i.e. Canva, Photoshop, Google Analytics). Experience and knowledgeable of current digital trends and social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube), etc. Experience with running email campaigns on platforms such as Mailblaze. Knowledge of QuickBooks online will be an advantage. Preferred experience with non-profit services. SKILLS Strong written and oral communication. Sound planning and organizational abilities. Proactive with ability to self-manage and work autonomously in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with different deadlines. Skillful in editing and copywriting duties (e.g. for social media posts, comments, digital graphics, ads, etc.). Strong aesthetic sense and a keen eye for detail, and a keen sense of how minor changes can impact a design's overall aesthetic and effectiveness. Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, independent problem solver with excellent follow-up skills. Hours are from 9h00 to 14h00 Salary R 13 000 - R 15 000 Apply Now
