Job Title: Solar and PV Electrical Installations Project Manager Location: Western Cape Salary: Market Related Job Type: Permanent Sectors: Engineering Benefits: Dependent on experience Reference: CPT003017/Jol Vacancy Details Do you have a solid track record managing commercial and residential Solar installations? This role requires an experienced and hands-on Electrician (with Wireman’s Licence) to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. Ensuring that electrical projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. It is essential to be bilingual in both English and Afrikaans for successful handovers to clients. Take note that this position entails working at heights and in various weather conditions and involve out-of-town travel for various projects. REQUIREMENTS Matric, and tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification Electrical Compliance Certificate (ECOC) SANS 10142-1 Must be a Registered Installations Electrician or Master Electrician with the Department of Labour Proven experience in solar PV system installations Solid understanding of solar energy principles, PV system components, and electrical wiring Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to solar energy systems Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for solar installations Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders Willing to travel extensively Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation DUTIES Initiate and complete installation of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters, batteries, and PV panels for commercial and residential premises. Perform electrical wiring and interconnection of solar panels, inverters, and other system components. Testing and installation of distribution boards and other standard commercial and residential electrical work Lead the PV and AC teams that report to him/her Ensure execution excellence of teams Complete site visits and compile reports Submit bill of materials for procurement Plan and coordinate work schedules of team Ensure technical proficiency of team Assist team with problem-solving before and during installations Ensure completion of installations within time and budget parameters Ensure professional handover to client post installation Complete and submit project documentation Continuously evaluate and develop team member To Apply Click Here Application Deadline: October 06 2023 Apply Now
