Trade Tested Electrician - Maitland, Cape Town - South Africa
My client, a leading and well known Company based in Maitland requires a competent and experienced Electrician to join their team.
This position is reporing to the Maintenance Team Leader.
Job Objectives:
Demonstrates a good level of technical skill and knowledge in: Factory reticulation. Machine tool maintenance and preventative maintenance scheduling
Requirements:
Qualified Electrician ESSENTIAL
A Wiremans license would be advantageous.
Previous experience on Machine tool (CNC, milling, lathe and grinding machines etc.) ESSENTIAL
SA Citizens only
Must be Criminal Clear
Must reside in the Greater Cape Town area
Essential Knowledge:
Knowledge of electrical theory; concepts and trade practice
Skills and knowledge related to working safely in the electrical environment.
Knowledge and application of relevant legislation; code of practice and standards.
Knowledge of PLC systems
Knowledge of the Labour act, OHSA and or any other regulatory acts which may affect the company
Skills:
Technical knowledge of electrical work
Experience and knowledge of CNC Machines, Edge Cam and Solid Edge.
Effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to work under pressure.
Fully computer literate (MS Word and Excel).
Knowledge of safety regulations
Factory reticulation. Machine tool maintenance and preventative maintenance scheduling
Key Performance indicators:
New electrical installation (wiring, testing, and commissioning of equipment).
Maintenance of site and factory electrical reticulation.
Fault finding and repair of electrical breakdowns with emphasis on CNC machine.
Pre planned preventative maintenance of electrical equipment and machines.
Preform trade related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Audit factory and draw up a task list to complete findings
Interpersonal Skills:
Good communication skills.
Attention to detail (Meticulous and accurate).
Ability to work under pressure.
Problem- solving: Ability to identify faults; problems, determine possible solutions and fix faults
