An industry leader in the mining sector which is based in the NORTH WEST PROVINCE and within the Orkney area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled Trading Manager Experience The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years’ experience working as a Trading Manager within the gold mining industry. Formal qualifications Valid driving license code 8 Own transport Bachelor’s degree in economics, international Trade, Business, Finance, or any related field. Valid medical certificate (Underground and or Surface dependent upon the inherent requirements of the position) Proven experience in Trade Management roles. Responsibilities Monitor global gold markets to assess price trends, demand, and supply dynamics Perform market research and data analysis to support organizational initiatives Generate market reports and presentations Develop and implement trading strategies Coordinate with key stakeholders on the relevant markets and policies Draft and finalize contracts with counterparties, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Stay on top of international market developments Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with gold buyers, sellers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders Collaborate with other departments within the mining operation, such as production and finance, to align trading activities with overall business objectives Serve as primary point of contact for all customs-related audits and compliance initiatives Inherent requirements for the position Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Work well under pressure Effective problem solving skills Strong Financial acumen Effective negotiation skills The successful incumbent must be fluent in Mandarin and be able to effectively communicate Experience in developing trading strategies including market trends, regulations, and key players Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo psychometric testing and background screening.
