Key Performance Areas:
1. Repairs and Service of Trailers (First Priority)
- Execute repairs, maintenance, and major annual services on trailers per guidelines from the National Technical Manager.
- Report faults or unusual defects to management.
- Perform quality checks on trailers at the Alrode depot.
- Handle welding works on trailers and general welding tasks as needed.
2. Quality Control and Truck Tractor Repairs Assistance
- Assist in repairs, maintenance, and standard services as per guidelines from the Technical Manager.
- Oversee assigned workshop tasks to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards.
- Assist and advise co-mechanics and general workers.
- Report vehicle errors or defects to management.
- Ensure a safe work environment and use safety equipment as necessary.
- Perform quality checks on vehicles in the depot.
3. General Duties
- Be available for after-hours services as required.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work environment.
4. Administration
- Complete parts requisitions and submit them for authorization.
- Ensure worksheets are completed per established standards and forward job cards to Wellington.
