â¢Assist in training Carpentry learners for a period of six months.
â¢Offers short courses to registered learners
â¢Assists learners in their compilation of Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)
â¢ Assists the Training Officer with the assessment of learners as required by the unit standards by using
the standard forms in the assessment policy and procedures.
â¢Assists the Training Officer with records keeping.
â¢Monitors that learners support materials are available and informs the Training Officer when there is a
need to update/improve certain areas of learning.
â¢ Responsible for Health and Safety at Carpentry and the Skills Department as a whole (Safety Rep)
â¢ Identify programme needs and recommend to the Training Officer.
â¢Demonstrate Safety and Health practices during training and assessment.
â¢Facilitation and Assessment skills.
â¢Organising and planning skills
â¢Good verbal communication skills
â¢Ability to work in a team environment
â¢Ability to work with literacy disadvantaged learners.
â¢A good command of one of the local languages, i.e. Sepedi or Tsonga will be advantageous.
â¢Carpentry Qualifications/ Trade Qualification;
â¢Assessor (ETDP SETA approved)
â¢Three years training at a recognised and accredited training centre. ******@*****.co.za
