Transport Administrator- JHB - Johannesburg
We are seeking a highly organized Transport Administrator to oversee our company's transportation services. Your responsibilities will include preparing transportation records and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our staff. To excel in this role, you must possess extensive knowledge of transportation operations and administrative experience. A successful Transport Administrator will demonstrate expertise that leads to cost-effective and efficient transportation services.
Responsibilities:
Schedule transportation services by compiling schedules and monitoring planned routes and assigned drivers.
Develop and implement improved transportation administration policies and procedures.
Monitor bookings against schedules and share consolidated data with team leads.
Liaise between managers and transport provider staff, collaborating with other departments to optimize transportation services.
Prepare schedules, share them with the transport provider, and track and report progress with bookings.
Handle staff queries and escalate serious complaints to team leaders.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
Demonstrate superb time management and organizational skills.
Exhibit exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Utilize great problem-solving and analytical skills.
Be available to resolve operational issues outside of business hours.
Key Performance Indicators:
Compile and ensure schedules are sent in the correct format.
Adhere to weekly schedule update deadlines.
Minimize ad hoc bookings.
Ensure all amendments are made before the cutoff time.
Provide excellent customer service – addressing queries, problem-solving, and demonstrating product knowledge.
Commit to personal growth – dedicating 1 hour daily to learning.
Prepare weekly reports on trends, areas of concern, and their impact on operations.
Foster teamwork.
