Transport Coordinator - Port Elizabeth
Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
Intermodal:
Daily Delivery report for Treg loads.
Plan deliveries for Treg loads according to last free days.
Haulier allocations.
Cold Store allocations.
Booking State Vet inspections (PE).
Send booking confirmations for all PE loads to the Cold Store.
Send out weekly Cold Store forecasts.
Send planning to the Cold Store for deliveries planned.
Dashboard updates (Cold Stores / Hauliers / delivery dates).
PE report (haulier registration for collection and empty turn ins).
Local Transport:
Checking Stock on Hand reports.
Communicate with traders on instore stock and loading dates.
Booking trucks.
Sending releases to Cold Stores.
Following up on ETAs for loading & delivery.
Updating GIT Insurance report.
Updating rate sheet.
Keeping track of Transporter accounts opened and those in progress.
All and any other related duties as expected from the employer from time to time.
Minimum qualification and experience:
Matric
Experience in Import Documentation
Experience in the Importation process (Customs, State Vet and Port Health)
Good understanding of the Intermodal function
Good understanding of the Local Logistics function
Soft Skills:
Able to work independently and give feedback regularly.
High attention to detail.
Team player.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to take instruction.
Ability to handle pressure in processing large volumes of transactions.
Proficient in meeting deadlines.
Must be organized and methodical.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
