Transportation Engineer (Qualified) - Pretoria
Responsibilities:
- Participate in project feasibility studies and business cases (including project scoping and structuring, procurement strategy, quantified risk analysis)
- Participate in asset development planning
- Provide technical inputs and analyses for the identification, design, development, processing and evaluation of projects in the division
- Participate and develop strategic integrated transport and logistics planning
- Participate in project and programme management in a major capital project environment
- Good knowledge of supply chain management, complex problem solving
- Computer literate with preferably programming skills such as python, Java and advanced Excel skills
- Good exposure to research, analysis, synthesis and problem-solving
- Must demonstrate strong numeracy capabilities
- Must be able to think logically and work independently
Requirements:
- Computer literate with preferably programming skills such as python, Java and advanced Excel skill
Qualifications and Experience:
- B Eng/BSc Engineering or similar Degree
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in Logistics and/or Rail
- Registered as Professional Candidate Engineer
- Geometric and formation design experience using various codes and standards.
- Previous experience should include assessments and analysis, modelling, concept engineering
