REQUIREMENTS- Matric, with relevant qualifications advantageous
- Experience within Travel and Tourism preferable
- Own vehicle essential
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Experience in event operations management
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- An interest in tourism and travel
- Experience as a front face and communicator at various events
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to multi-task between various projects and events
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, being confident in liaising with all clients across all sectors
- A committed individual who is willing to develop in this important role
- Commitment to be available for events over weekends or after hours
DUTIES- Reporting to the Managing Director
- Creative and innovative thinking alongside the operations team with various ideas for different types of events
- Planning, especially attention to detail on the finder details on the day of an event
- Budget presentation and ensuring accuracy and all costing has been included per project
- Adapting to budgets without compromising event style or operational delivery
- On-site engagement with attendees at events
- On-site managing of additional staff required at events
- Ensuring clients needs are met during planning process up to and including the event
- Being the brand ambassador for the company
- Developing strong positive relationships with clients and suppliers
- Inspection of sites where events will be hosted, problem solving where needed
- Team player working with and alongside the operational team
- Post-event reporting and ideas for improvement to be submitted
