Lexdan Select is assisting an Engineering Insurance agency with their search for an Underwriter, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Functions: Analysis and understanding of technical documentation received and insurance terms and conditions Assessing the characteristics of the risk, in order to determine its consistency with the company's underwriting principles and applicable insurance terms and conditions Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders Pro-actively liaise with relevant stakeholders when new business is underwritten Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering Curiosity, proactivity, analytical and problem solving skills Excellent decision-making, time management and deadline management skills
