Our Client, a Private Hospital Group has a vacancy for a Unit Manager for an On-Site Clinic in the Richards Bay area, reporting to the Business Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering a quality occupational health service which is effective and efficient, and exceeds customers' expectations of an Occupational Health Clinic. Managing an Occupational Health Clinic and commitment to delivering excellent health services. Maintenance of an Occupational Health Program to establish the physical, psychological and social well-being of the worker in a safe working environment. Monitoring the health status of employees through on-going surveillance programmes according to the SOP. Providing information the Client can utilize to eliminate, control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are, or may be exposed. Coordination of emergency procedures. Working effectively within a budget and billing of clients Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Occupational Health and the Clients. Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards including internal and external audits (Life EHS as well as client audits). Rotational standby and callouts. Analysing monthly reports. Discussions with client and changes to be activated on approval of client. Managing EMS Staff with help of EMS Coordinator. Qualifications in General Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing (SANC registered) with sound knowledge in the provision of Occupational Health Care Services. Clinical Nursing Science qualification would be an added advantage. Current registration with SANC Dispensing licence Certificate of competency in Spirometry, Vision Screening and Audiometry including registration as Audiometrist with SASOHN. BLS for HCP HV/AIDS Management Unit Manager exerperience or managerial experience Computer literacy essential. Experience in the treatment of Injuries on Duty. Ideally, the candidate should have experience in administration and employee relations, good communication skills Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.
