5+ years’ experience of UX|UI design experience, with at least some of this working in a B2C or C2C online business
A Relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution is a plus [bonus]
Fluency in English is a must
Expertise in standard UX|UI software such as Figma and Miro
Extensive experience in using user-centered design (UCD) best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
Extensive experience in using and interpreting Google’s Material Design principles and iOS’s Human Interface Guidelines
Adapt to handling and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data
Ability to iterate design solutions efficiently and intelligently
Ability to communicate processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively
Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
Be passionate about all things UX, UI, and other areas of design and innovation
Research and showcase knowledge of the industry’s latest trends and technologies
Bonus points if you can speak/write one of the more popular languages across Africa (e.g., French)
Experience planning and conducting user research in a variety of formats and settings e.g., focus groups, surveys, and remote and in-person usability testing
Responsibilities:
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences, and are optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate
Collaborate with Product Designers throughout the design process Knowledge of feature-for-feature competitive analysis and world-class standards for the Super App industry
Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes for stakeholder reviews
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemap
Design graphic user interface elements for Mobile (Android, iOS) and Web applications
Conduct layout adjustments based on user/team feedback
Work closely with the UX Research team to identify research questions
Helping to plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
