Job opportunity for South African Veterinarians: Relocate to New Zealand Are you a South African with a BVSc degree and considering relocating to New Zealand? Purpose of position The Veterinarian is responsible for diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and other medical conditions of animals. Their role is to prevent ill health and maintain the well-being of animals, whilst maximising customer service and satisfaction. Key Performance Indicators Animal Care: Accurate diagnosis Appropriate testing Appropriate medical or surgical intervention and vaccination programmes Prescribing drugs appropriately and in compliance with codes of practice Notification as required of outbreaks of exotic and infectious animal diseases Provision of advice on animal welfare Competency with new technologies ( such as ultrasound) Client Care: Client needs are met Clients will receive products and services that are based on current science and the appropriate solution to the problem Client satisfaction (measured with surveys, focus groups and compliments) People Care: Internal client needs are met Effective Teamwork that results in: Collegial atmosphere Excellent communication regarding management of cases Information sharing Internal Processes: Participation and management of projects across the business Implementation of projects as required Sustainability – waste is minimised through recycling and other business initiatives Administration and Equipment All company administration requirements are adhered to Accurate and adequate information is collected from customers Accurate fee, travel and drug sales records that comply with legal requirements and company policies Large animal clinical records are forwarded to administration team as required or at least weekly All equipment (including vehicle) is kept clean, tidy and in a workable condition Health and Safety Company health and safety procedures are understood and complied with Protective clothing and equipment is used where necessary No harm occurs to you or any other person due to your actions while at work BVSc degree from University of Pretoria At least 3 years post graduate experience Completed 12 months community compulsory service Strong computer literacy skills in MS Office Fluent in English Valid passport Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 NZD The immigration and resettlement process form part of this opportunity.
