Glen Carlou, situated in the Simonsberg-Paarl area has a vacancy for a Visitor Centre Manager. The Visitor Centre Manager will be mainly responsible for the following: Overseeing the daily operations of the Visitor Centre, which includes tastings, visitor relations, tours, staff management and performances, cash-ups, and stock control Inventory management of wine, retail merchandise and tasting room supplies Partner with wine educators, winemakers, and production staff to ensure the staff receives the appropriate level of sales, product, and general wine education and training Coordinate hospitality events, such as consumer tastings, VIP tastings and events Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating registers, and accounting for daily sales Requirements: Grade 12 with a qualification in Wine Tourism At least five (5) years' experience in a managerial position in the wine industry Be knowledgeable of all wine offerings Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional and excellent service, and hospitality to a high level of guest satisfaction Energetic, accountable, and team-oriented Reliable, responsible, and organized Strong interpersonal skills, team player and a leader Attentive to detail, planning and thoroughness Proficient in EzyWine, Excel, or ability to learn these programs Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced working environment By Submitting your information and application you hereby confirm: That you have read and understood our Privacy Policy ( www.hopcal.co.za ).
