Our client specialises in communications and control systems for the Mining sector.
Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain Digicom Super High Frequency(SHF 5.8Ghz) and Low Frequency(LF 2Mhz) communication systems down mineshafts.
- Commissioning of the Radio Frequency (RF) Minitalk Communication systems down mineshafts.
- The Mining Winders (Man, Service and Rock) are audited on separate days respectively to determine the extent of enhancement.
- Maintain the Escort Winder Brake intervention system.
- Maintain the Call / Lock Bell communication system.
- These Safety Technical systems are maintained by fault finding and replacement of electronic components where necessary.
- Computer Networking skill is necessary to enhance Radio Frequency communication between various electronic systems.
- Minimum of two weeks Standby are reserved by technicians owing to breakdown callouts that occur outside the normal working hours and during weekends.
- Minimum N6 Electronics Certificate / Diploma
- Understand Radio Frequency (RF) signal and process methodology.
- Read and understand the components of Printed Circuit Boards(PCB).
- Reading and understanding of electronic drawings / diagrams / schematics.
