Community Action Africa is looking for a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Grants and Partnership Coordinator to join our team. As an organization dedicated to poverty alleviation and community development in Africa, we rely on grants and partnerships to fund and support our projects. The Volunteer Grants and Partnership Coordinator will play a pivotal role in securing grants and developing partnerships to ensure the success and sustainability of our programs. Responsibilities Research and identify potential grant opportunities from various sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies. - Prepare and submit grant proposals, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met. - Develop and maintain relationships with funders and donors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on progress and outcomes. - Coordinate and lead meetings with potential partners to discuss collaboration opportunities and secure financial support. - Collaborate with program managers to develop project proposals and budgets that align with funder guidelines and priorities. - Monitor and track grant funding, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines. - Conduct prospect research to identify new potential donors and partnership opportunities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nonprofit management, international development, or business. - At least 3 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with funders, donors, and partners. - Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new grant opportunities. - Proficient in using grant management software and donor databases. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines and priorities. - Knowledge of international development issues and familiarity with the African context is a plus.
