Based in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands, they are looking for an expereinced Outbound warehouse and logistics manager to join the team. This position will be responsible for ensuring On time and in full deliveries of all finished goods. Outbound transportation costs within target Optimal fleet management – (outbound & inbound) Excellent finished goods warehouse practice Building a world class warehouse and dispatch team Stock integrity of finished goods Optimal stock holding of finished goods Designing and improving warehouse layout Project management and maintaining of Warehouse management software Design and implementation of next day delivery system HR and ADMIN Grow and support the team Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to by the team GOOD WAREHOUSE PRACTICE Ensure all finished goods are stored according to good warehouse practices. (FSSC 22000 requirements) Ensure that all warehouse and admin systems are correctly followed LOGISTICS Designing of outbound distribution to ensure efficient delivery of customer orders. Optimise outbound logistics costs Key account any third party logistics companies FINISHED GOODS RECEIVING Ensure process captures finished goods received from production correctly Ensure that the procedures governing the receiving of finished goods is being managed correctly and that no incorrect or damaged stock is received. IT Assist in the designing of a barcode and scanning system for received stock to aid in the correct and accurate picking and dispatching of finished goods FLEET MANAGEMENT Look after all aspects of fleet management of company owned vehicles GENERAL Designing of dispatch area and project management of any upgrades Project management of any dispatch software upgrades REPORTING TO FINANCE MANAGER BUDGETING Set budgets monthly and annually year STOCK INTEGRITY Own all stock variances and the research into any discrepancies together with finance. Own all monthly stock counts on finished goods internal and external warehouses RETURNED STOCK Ensuring this it is correctly managed. 3.REPORTING TO COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR FINISHED GOODS DISPATCH Own in time and in full targets Help design the sales to order process from a finished goods and dispatch perspective. Prioritise Sales Orders (SO) in line with targets Design and implement a picking, packing, checking and transport system that eliminates the risk of stock shrinkage and holds staff accountable for any loss. Design and manage a system that ensures all stock is pulled according to FIFO and customer minimum shelf life requirements Design and manage a process that ensures any short stock or errors on SO's communicated immediately with sales team and SO and invoice amended accordingly. REPLENISHMENT Manage the forecasting process for all channels by bringing sales, procurement and manufacturing requirements into one clear forecast. Ensure daily accurate information on stock levels to production Ensure that the business has a weekly update on the aging stock report ROUTE SCHEDUELING Balance weekly loads countrywide with company trucks and outsourced partners 3 year degree in supply chain management (or similar) Computer literacy Courses in Good Warehouse Practice, stores and inventory management Minimum of 5 years' experience in Dispatch Management position with experience in warehouse management and inventory control. Min 3 years Route scheduling experience Min 3 years costing and budget management Exceptional communicational skills Exceptional managerial skills Meticulous with an eye for details Preferable Qualifications/Experience/Ability/Skills: Experience in designing and setting up warehouse management software Advanced Microsoft Office skills Experience in designing the layout of a dispatch warehouse Experience in project management Market related
