WAREHOUSE MANAGER - Cape Town City Centre


National Manufacturing Company is looking for a Warehouse Manager for their Cape Town Branch.

Salary: R13,000.00 to R16,000.00 Per Month Benefits

Responsible for organizing the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehoused goods.

Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

Taking care of fleet vehicles and supervising the warehouse personnel.

1 Inventory control

Administer stock control by ensuring correct quantity and quality received according to suppliers


Ensure efficient space utilization when packing received stock.

Report deviations on receipt of goods versus invoice to accounts to request credit/debit note from suppliers.

Liaising with customers and other departments.

Ensure that all purchases/returns from customers are released/received according to the invoice/picking slip/credit note and fulfilled correctly.

Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.

Manage and control pallets received as they are to be returned for refund.

Ensure that stock is dispatched correctly and in accordance with company


Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Insure compliance with house keeping standards.

2 Fleet management

Check vehicle together with the driver to ensure no untraceable damages to vehicle and vehicle is in reliable condition

Ensure that vehicle licenses are up to date, managing the whole proses in cooperation with


Manage timeous service of vehicles

Organise shipment in cooperation with Sales Reps and Manager.

Coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys.

Complete log sheets for every single trip and update them on return.

3 Administration

All goods are receipted correctly and recorded in the Computer system

Invoicing of Construction and Agric products for delivery

Unlock and lock up of warehouse on a daily basis.

Assist and co picker of goods being shipped.

Assist in tidy and cleaning of warehouse.

Formal clean-up and tidy of the stock locations in advance before stocktake.

Arrange and manage casuals as needed.

Do weekly testing of the alarm system.

Planning for and negotiating technical difficulties regarding electricity blackouts, water leaking, calibrating scales ect.

4 Other

Manage warehouse and delivery staff.

Liaise with drivers to ensure they are on time and on schedule.

Maintaining statistical and financial records and filing them appropriately.

Manage the dumping of waste.

Ensure that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Forklift driver as needed.

Assist in any other duty that may be reasonably required.
