Warehouse Manager - South Africa
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Is responsible for knowing what international containers are arriving on any given day and week and arranges sufficient staffing and resources to offload and receipt on time and in full. · Ensure sufficient space is available in Bulk & Bond warehouse to receipt and inspect goods. · Ensure goods available for inspection by Merchandising team within 24-48hours of offload · Once shipment is inspected, ensuring stock movements and transfers to the fulfilment or quality department are actioned within 24 hours · Takes lead role in ensuring weekly Retail replenishments are completed accurately, with 100% infill and within SLAs · Alerts Head of Operations and Head of Retail well in advance of any potential issues & bottlenecks, while seeking cause and resolution · Monitors daily Online, Takealot & Wholesale order volumes to ensure fulfilment & dispatch SLAs are met and customer delivery is on time and in full. · Develop strong relationship with courier partners and monitor delivery dashboard & KPI reports · Escalate problem deliveries with courier partner & customer services – never disappoint a customer · Utilises work force to meet priority demands in the various sales & fulfilment channels, while planning for high volume periods with Head of Operations · Develops strong relationships with Planning, Marketing and Sales heads so as to be aware of upcoming campaigns and stock cover requirements to meet and fulfil campaign and sale needs, on time and in full · Takes lead role in controlling accuracy of inventory levels by ensuring daily coordinated cycle stock counts by the stock team; thorough stock investigations are completed & adjustments reconciled with the Finance Manager · Manage Receiving Supervisor, Stock Control Supervisor, Fulfilment Supervisor and Dispatch Manager. · Takes a lead role in projects as designated by the Head of Operations; assists with special Promos as required · Liaises with Quality Control and Production Departments to ensure a constant flow of stock to the Fulfilment Department and sufficient forward cover of available SKU’s are maintained. · Ensures sufficient packaging and consumable levels are maintained at all times with oversight of non-stock buyer, while ensuring best pricing and value principles are being adhered to · Assists in maintaining warehouse staff results by identifying employees with potential to be developed and trained for growth · Ensures that staff that require counselling or disciplinary action based on performance and / or attendance are attended to immediately; ensuring training records are created and signed for all training provided. · Looks at creating and maintaining a healthy staff environment where staff feel valued and appreciated · Must have minimum of intermediate Excel and PowerPoint experience · Strong at analyzing data to provide reporting to Exco members and Head of Operations, and improve efficiencies by interpretating the data and the story it is telling · Is cost conscious, looks for savings and runs the warehouse with a business owner perspective · Responsible for the adherence to all Health & Safety SOP’s as they apply to the Operational environment · Manage and execute Performance Appraisals and KPI’s for Warehouse teams · Mentor staff where required KPI: On time and In full delivery of stock KPI: Shrinkage, back-order replenishment times KPI: Weekly Reporting KPI: Health & Safety adherence KPI: Stakeholder feedback & satisfaction KPI: Creation and documentation of operational workflows & procedures for the Operations function in collaboration with the Head of Operations KPI: Procedure communication & compliance KPI: Employee disciplinary records, Employee improvement, Employee Advancement
